MODULE 10: How Do We Teach Philanthropy? (Part II)

Educators worldwide are commissioned to teach core subjects like economics, geography, history and government. For educators who want to teach their students about civil society, they often emphasize citizenship and philanthropy within these subjects.

This module explores programs available to students where philanthropy is already infused and can be easily emphasized. These programs and instructional techniques are commonly used in classrooms and are valuable in teaching philanthropy concepts and content. The module will highlight the philanthropy connection in each technique, and recommend resources that support these efforts. Techniques include academic service-learning, debate, constructive, conversation, current events, letter writing, literature, mind mapping, persuasive essay and simulation. Start the module now.

Duration: 30-45 minutes
