MODULE 5: The Four Sector Society

This module explores the four major sectors of United States society: 1) business/corporate, 2) government, 3) nonprofit/independent, and 4) family/household. A major emphasis in this exploration is developing an understanding about how these sectors interact with one another, providing the United States with new ideas that keep our democracy fresh, and understanding that when one or more of the sectors fail, one of more of the other sectors will respond to keep the society strong. Included in this exploration are the connections between the independent sector and the K-12 level discipline concepts in economics (including careers and jobs) and geography. Start the module now.
