- Find a twig with fresh leaves attached.
- Predict: What will happen to the leaves if they are closed in a plastic bag?
- Place the plastic bag around the leaves on the twig and put the twist tie on to close the bag around the stem(s).
- Fill the jar with one cup of water and put the end of the twig into the jar.
- Place the jar on a sunny windowsill. Draw a picture of what it looks like now.
- Check the bag every day for a week, and record your observations (Draw or
write).
