Great Society Guided Practice Activity
1. Draw a timeline indicating the beginning of the Great Society until the end of the Johnson administration, locating each piece of legislation. Put a caption on your identifications as to what that piece of legislation was to do.
2. Four major programs were: Food Stamps, Head Start, Medicare and the School Breakfast Program. Put these programs in order of what you believe to be the most significant to the least significant and explain why.
3. Explain the reason you believe or do not believe that the federal or state government needs a similar program today.
