- examine some Native American traditions of philanthropy
- distinguish between heroes and celebrity
Volunteer their time and talents to earn money to donate to a local charity.
Student generated Venn diagrams and writing samples and analysis of a community need
A web search for material on the schools' community history (pictures and stories) in the early 1900s and now will enhance the unit.
