Social Media and Communications Intern

The Social Media and Communications Intern will work directly with the Content and Community Manager to grow and maintain Learning to Give's social media presence during the Fall 2018 semester. The ideal candidate will have a experience and knowledge using Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. Attention to detail is a must. Creativity in both writing and basic graphic design highly encouraged. Knowledge of Canva a plus but not required! Plan 4-6 hours per week. *This position is 80-90% virtual/online.
 
Duties and Responsibilities: 
  1. Curate new content to share on Social Media (locate relevant articles, blogs, resources) 
  2. Schedule and/or monitor weekly posts for Facebook and Twitter; as well as Pinterest and Instagram if #4 and #5 below are approved 
  3. Create simple graphics (Canva) that adhere to Learning to Give brand guidelines 
  4. Work with the Content and Community Manager to create a Pinterest strategy; How/what should Learning to Give be promoting on Pinterest? 
  5. Work with the Content and Community Manager to develop an Instagram strategy; How/why should Learning to Give be active on Instagram? 
  6. Weekly 30 minute check-in with the Content and Community Manager via virtual meeting or in-person; day/time TBD depending on students' class schedule 
  7. Weekly deadlines based on assigned projects
