Unit: Roots of Philanthropy (Teen)
Youth Activity: Young people watch a video of people telling what they think "philanthropy" means. Then they conduct their own interviews to gather information about the understanding of the concept of philanthropy.
Unit: My Water, Our Water
Participants discuss the attributes and benefits of local water resources and ecosystems. They identify the interrelatedness of humans and the environment in the book A River Ran Wild, and discuss how the way we treat the water impacts our lives.

Introduce the concept of philanthropy and guide the learners to be philanthropists who take volunteer action for the common good.
Unit: Diverse Community: Who Is My Neighbor? (6-8)
Participants examine the meaning of and examples of stereotypes, prejudice, and discrimination. They reflect on ways that stereotypes develop and have the potential to turn into discrimination.
Unit: Global Health: Food Around the World
In this lesson, young people examine their typical diet for 24 hours. They analyze the nutritional content and discuss why diets differ by culture, region, and economics.
Unit: Your Place in the Community
Teens identify their roles and personal values, and analyze how their personal values and beliefs developed in connection to their community's values and beliefs. They discuss what decisions they can make through generosity and voice for the common good.
