Unit Overview 

Learners research problems caused by a natural disaster and cite examples of aid provided in an effort to help those devastated populations. They investigate the role of the four economic sectors in responding to the needs. They participate in a collection campaign and learn about organizations to which they can contribute their philanthropy.

Service Experience 
 The learners collect donations for disaster relief through acting as advocates for the cause to their families and school community. They will choose a relief organization(s) to contribute to the specific disaster relief.
