Unit Overview 

Students will become familiar with African American humanitarian efforts that promoted philanthropy and had a significant effect on the African American community.

Service Experience 
 Students may explore examples of bias and discrimination through language and behavior in the different communities in which they belong (including online). They take action to raise awareness of the issue and eliminate even unintended acts of bias and discrimination against any individuals or communities.
