Service Learning for a One-Semester Course
Students will identify the value of philanthropy in society and, working as a group, will plan, carry out and evaluate the success of a one-semester Academic Service-Learning project.
Students define philanthropy, identify individuals who have made a difference and make a brief oral presentation summarizing the actions of a person whose actions made a difference.
Students will select the Academic Service-Learning project.
Students will finalize the project and its scope.
Students will share the results of the Service-Learning project and reflect on successes and failures.
