Unit Overview 

Students differentiate between needs and wants and explore how needs are met in different contexts and with help from different sectors. In this unit students integrate learning of economic systems, governmental systems, and the role of nonprofits to create a reference poster for use in a social studies classroom.

Service Experience 
Students will create a reference poster for use in high school and middle school social studies classrooms. After creating these posters, students present them to the teacher (and class) that will be using them.

In this lesson, students begin to create a reference poster to use in the classroom that shows the relationships between various governmental and economic systems, and shows how these systems interact with the nonprofit sector to meet the needs of citizens in various countries.
