Learners reflect on issues that people tend to look the other way from to avoid facing difficult situations. They write an honest reflection on issues they can take action to address.
Through multiple visits to a retirement home, or by inviting seniors to visit the classroom, students will learn effective communication, sensitivity to people of different generations and shared experiences while sharing ideas about the common good and stewardship.
The students will write a "Safe Water" pledge and may choose to sign it indicating action they will personally take to assure sustainable, safe water. They will create persuasive products to share their knowledge of issues around safe drinking water.
