This is not an attempt to define women's philanthropy, but to look at the less recognized, but still significant, giving of women as philanthropists.

This resource guide was designed by a Detroit-area educator with the goal of guiding educators with two citizenship themes: building a caring community and social justice in a diverse country. The resource includes video, literature guides, discussion starters, activities, and lessons intended to empower youth voice and guide them to a service project of interviewing someone and sharing their story of generosity.
Ignite meaningful action that lights up the world through "Service Sparks" youth projects! Practice active listening that values another's experience.
Youth identify motivations for giving and social action in the community. They compare research-based motivations of adults and youth. They write a persuasive call to action for an issue of their choice based on the motivations they learned.
Youth make a plan as empowered and responsible members of the civil society to take action to prevent bullying behavior while being sensitive to the people involved, from the victim to the bystander to the bully.
