  1. Teacher Note: Write the following essay choices on the board prior to the start of class.

    Anticipatory Set:

    Teacher: We've been exploring responsibility, follow-through, and steps to decision-making throughout this unit, and I trust you've benefitted from our discussions.

  2. Teacher: Today, you have the opportuntity to share your thinking by responding to one of the following prompts. Please use your journal to record your thinking.

  3. Write an essay from one of the following prompts:

    • Write an essay on the defintion of responsibility, give steps and examples of making responsible choices. 
    • Write an essay on a personal experience of responsiblity, relating what might have happened without responsibility taken.
    • Respond to the following quote, explaining how it relates to what you have learned about responsibility: "In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility."
