  1. Watch the video, "Hunger Isn't Just a Stomach Thing," Have the students listen for the effects of hunger.

  2. Discuss the video with students. Brainstorm with them questions they had after watching the video.

  3. Students review newspaper articles about children and hunger. They discuss how they feel about this issue affecting children. They speculate why they think the news rarely emphasizes such a serious issue. Examples of articles you can share with them:
