Students present their projects to the whole class and reflect on the presentations. Students discuss action they can take through service-learning.

Objectives: 

The learner will

  • reflect on all of the presentations.
  • discuss potential service-learning projects to plan and carry out.
Instructions:

  1. Tell the students the order of presentations and expectations of those listening and taking notes. 

  2. Teams take turns sharing their projects with cla​ssmates and taking notes on those they observe.

  3. Reflections: The manner in which students reflect is not as important as them just taking the time to reflect and learn. Choose one or two ways to have students reflect:

    • Write a paper
    • Have a discussion
    • Draw a picture
  4. Hold a final discussion on Day 4 to summarize findings, determine next steps for promising projects, and review the rubric and criteria to determine where students excelled and where they could improve in future projects. (See Sample Questions Handout.)
