Through the voices of an immigrant and refugee, youth gain empathy and understanding of the experience of leaving your home for a new place. 

Young people research the ecosystems around their own homes, school, and community, so they can be better informed stewards about conservation.

Conflict happens in many situations and knowing the proper means to communicate and resolve issues can mitigate many problems. This lesson helps youth evaluate the roots of conflicts and methods on how to resolve conflict with respect.  

Students will research a food program and write an essay.
