In this lesson, students analyze and define the concept of community. The students identify benefits and sacrifices involved in actions for the common good in their role as citizens.
Learners will describe the importance of Core Democratic Values in a democratic government and analyze the way they support philanthropy.
The purpose of this lesson is to have students recognize the idea of an emerging democracy, analyze the struggles of the people, and decide on a way to help the people.
