Learners explore the meaning of playing by the rules and making personal choices that support the common good. They discuss how people could respond with honesty and dishonesty to the same situation.
Learners role-play familiar scenarios in ways that follow the rules and support straightforward communication and also in ways that do not support honesty. They discuss the value of rules or expectations for promoting the common good.
Unit: Character Education: Perseverance (Grade 6)
Through a discussion of impulse spending and opportunity cost, learners weigh the benefits of careful decisions and perseverance in reaching goals.
