This lesson will give students hands-on practice applying the concepts of philanthropy and sensitivity.
This lesson introduces children to the reality of childhood hunger in their region. Students learn the difference between companies that are for profit and nonprofit and the types of work they do. Students also identify wants and needs.
In this lesson the students reflect on the power of volunteerism and gain some perspective on the immense impact volunteers make on our economy and society. They will determine what they contribute to their school community.
