The young people create a video by compiling recordings of the songs and acting they did as a group to communicate the meaning of acting for the common good. They share their video with a local hospital, retirement community, or preschool as entertainment.

In this lesson, we learn that small actions do matter to the common good. While Mother Teresa is an amazing example of generosity, selflessness, and caring, we don't need to give up everything and make grand gestures to be caring.

A celebrity philanthropist may become focused on a specific cause because her life is connected to the cause. Learners read about Oprah Winfrey's philanthopic work and then reflect on issues that are important to them.

In the final reflection, the learners connect the concepts of fairness and philanthropy through written a response to a quote or personal experience.

Young people explore the impact of their own actions on their environment and develop a deeper understanding of what it means to be an environmental steward.
